Genomics Applied to Health and Nutrition

Studying genes related to cardiovascular disease risk factors

Researchers of the Genomics Applied to Health and Nutrition Chair study genes related to cardiovascular disease risk factors and the way in which these genes interact with various nutrients. The chairholder of this Canada Research Chair, Marie-Claude Vohl, also works with collaborators on genes that influence human metabolic response when taking fatty acid fish supplements, such as omega-3s.
