STELA is the only dairy research centre in Canada
With its 15 highly-qualified researchers from the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, STELA plays a leading role in the Quebec and Canadian dairy industry.
Established over 25 years ago, Dairy Science and Technology Research Centre (STELA) is furthering its scientific program in the following three axes:
- Milk composition
- Dairy production and technological properties
- Nutrition, human health and socio-economic aspects
Reveling in its international renown, STELA promotes milk and its components for the development of functional bio ingredients and quality dairy products that contribute to the population’s health.
The Dairy Science and Technology Research Centre is affiliated with the Institute of Nutrition and Functional Foods.
